Again...

Jackson is sick. He is always sick. This time it's double eye and ear infections. He is so miserable. I have been spending so much time at work with my new "job" and my mother-in-law and father-in-law have been taking such great care of him.

He sleeps in bed with me every night that he's sick. It wouldn't be so bad (it's never bad when he's not sick) but his ears are...draining. Which is a good thing (also gross) because it means his tubes are working/doing their job. But he is still so sad and uncomfortable.

My in-law's are taking him back to the doctor tomorrow to check in with the doctor. He was prescribed drops for his eyes and ear on Monday. But we learned today that it's both ears. On to an antibiotic!!

Here's hoping to him being better by Friday. We have rsvped to an Easter egg hunt at TCU with my brother-in-law on Sunday. I hope we can still make it!

Obsessing over... a lot.

 

Working on... staying organized. I ordered a Life Planner from Erin Condren and I am absolutely loving it. I have EVERYTHING written down now and all in one place. It is so colorful which makes me want to write in it and show it off. I love it so much!

Thinking about... The Red Velvet Spring line release tonight! I really want the Ice Cream Sundae Jumper and the Bike Ride dress.  

 

Anticipating... This week. It's going to be a little crazy. I'll explain more later! Oh, and getting my David's Tea order!!! I can't wait!

 

Listening to... Merriment, Sucre, Eisley, Mutemath, and Of Monsters and Men.

Eating... We had some friends over that we haven't seen in a very long time and Jeremy made an amazing dinner. Salmon, couscous, and asparagus. I want seconds.

Today I...

....sneezed. Hard. And well, I tore a muscle between my ribs. Worse pain ever. I can barely move. Poor Jack is at my amazing mother-in-law who is taking care of him while I can't. I can't even imagine picking him up right now. Ouch. Jeremy is taking such good care of me. I'm pretty sure he just ran out to get me the Hunger Games People magazine. I am on some pretty good pain meds so work isn't going to happen tomorrow so I need some stuff to keep me busy while I lay here. He's so good to me.

So, I might be blogging some stuff tomorrow...or just pinning. :)

Weekly Jackson.

Jack has been sick this whole week and weekend.

I took him to the doctor on Wednesday and he got a shot. 

He didn't exactly have strep but the test was inconclusive, so I'm thinking he just has a crappy cold. 

By Friday, he still wasn't himself.

He didn't really have an appetite and after a short bath...

 he fell asleep at 7. 7 is WAY early for him and he almost always falls asleep in his bed, but that night he fell asleep in my arms on the couch. He definitely wasn't feeling so hot.

After a very long night for Jack and I, Jeremy got up early with Jack and took him to get donuts. 

He was so sweet to let me sleep and he brought me a triple from Starbucks.
Such a lovely man. 

We tried out watercolors for the first time.

Jack LOVED it.

He really hates getting his hands dirty so finger paints aren't his thing.
He loved the paintbrush and I loved that he couldn't really ruin anything with the paint.

Little man enjoyed a ton of popsicles this weekend.

We also read Green Eggs and Ham a thousand times.

I have a ton of Dr. Seuss books on my ipad and iphone. They are such life-savers.

Jack stayed the night at his grandma's last night to help Jeremy and I get some sleep before our work week. 

I miss my healthy little man.

Currently...

Obsessing over... keeping my apartment clean. We are so messy and working all week makes it difficult to keep up with laundry and putting stuff away. It's overwhelming sometimes, but I'm working on keeping it up.

 

Working on... blog posts and planning a weekend to do a ton of photo shoots in my hometown and applying to school...again. Online bachelor's here I come! 

Thinking about... taxes. Still.

Anticipating... This weekend in Austin. We're visiting my sister! I can't wait. We are going to enjoy Austin for a night! We have a ton of stuff planned. Donut shops, cute stores, and awesome food trucks. Also, being with Jack all week after work. He's at such an amazing age. He repeats everything and gives TONS and hugs and kisses. God, I love him.

Listening to... Fun. Over and over.

Eating... We had Zoe's Kitchen for lunch. Pita, hummus, tuna.

Wishing... It was Saturday so I could see my sister and staying home with Jack. I've been thinking about it a lot.

 11 Things:

1. When I was a kid, I would eat lettuce by the head. Seriously. The whole thing in one sitting if no one stopped me. It was so bad that I would get to it before my mom would wash it, and I got a parasite in my stomach. Ouch.

2. I love Aveda products. I just started using the Color stuff and I am obsessed. And their tea is quite good.

3. I love to collect. I don't have many collections, but I have made quite a collection of Cars for Jack.

4. I dream of staying home with Jack every single day.

5. I've only ever been in one wedding and it was my sister's.

6. My sister and I haven't always gotten along. I'm not talking the "yah we're sisters" kind of fighting. It was terrible. I didn't trust each other and we pretty much hated each other. Now that we are older... I love her. I love her to death. She and I have so much in common and not in common that it works. It works well. I'm very happy with my sister and I love her so much!

7. I love the cold weather. Spring is ok, but WINTER. I LOVE WINTER. I grew up in South Texas... There is no such thing as winter there.

8. I hate to swim. I hate the water. I don't like pools. Or lakes. Or rivers. Or the ocean.

9. I wish I cooked more at home. I work in a kitchen so cooking at home is NOT fun for me. I still do it.

10. I wish I lived near my mom. It hurts to think she lives 10+ hours away. She hardly gets to come up here and it's really hard for me to haul myself down there. Sad. Hopefully we'll get better about it soon.

11. I think I can sing. Well, I can in my car and in the shower.

Stephanie's Questions:

1.  What is one of your worst habits? 

Not listening. Jeremy loves cars and I don't know (or really care) a lot about them. He talks and talks and talks about them. I listen, but barely. It's bad. 

 

2. If you had to pick one kind of breakfast cereal to have for the rest of your life, forgoing all others, which would you choose?

Frosted flakes with bananas. Omg.

 

3. Which actor or actress would you want to play you in a film about your life?

Alexis Bledel. I will forever have people telling me "You look just like Rory Gilmore!"

 

4. Do you believe in true love? Have you ever been lucky enough to feel it?

I do and I have. My husband is the greatest.

 

5. If you could have the blog of another, including theme, content  and followers, which would you choose and why?

I really like my blog. I try not to think about the things I could have and just focus on what I have now. 

 

6. Poof! You can instantly have any hairstyle - which style would you pick?

Bleached blonde with a little pastel in it. No idea why and I know it would look HORRIBLE!

 

7. What is your favorite holiday?

It's a tie between Halloween and Christmas.

 

8. What color ARE your underwear, miss?

lavender and white striped, ma'am. 

 

9. You're having pizza for your next meal. What are the toppings?

 Pepperoni and green olives.

10. If you could be paid to do any job, what would it be and how much do you think your time would be worth per hour?

Photography. Hands down. Probably $50 an hour at the moment.

 

11. Have you ever been flipped off while driving? Tell us the story!

Yup. When I was learning to drive. I was going a little too slow on a big bridge and no one could pass me. Oops. Also, I live in Dallas, so I get flipped off a bit too much because I like to cut in front of people... only when Jack isn't in the car, of course.
