Long weekend...

This long weekend is going to be filled with BBQ, tea and coffee drinking, coloring, blogging, playing cars, gardening with tons of bug spray on, baking, picture taking, movies, and lots of cuddling, relaxing, and laughing.

We're getting take out from my FAVORITE BBQ place tonight and I haven't been this excited to eat! It's right next to our new place, which is awesome. They have the best ribs and the best brocolli slaw ever. We'll probably pick up a good 6-pack of beer on the way home, too. I heard my ALL-TIME FAVORITE BEER IS OUT! Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. I only had 1 six-pack last year and was really sad when I couldn't find it anymore.

We recently planted some cauliflower and brussle sprouts in our little garden. They are doing so well. We had a spaghetti squash for dinner last week sometime, so Jeremy saved a few seeds. It was just an experiement to see if they would grow... Well. They are our biggest seedlings at the moment. And SO pretty! I planted some broccoli when we first started the garden and nothing took. I'm going to replace the broccoli with carrots this weekend along with adding a bunch of dirt to the whole garden. It's a little too shallow. So far we will have: spaghetti squash, peppers, spinach, kale, beets, quinoa, brussle sprouts, cauliflower, and carrots! We also have a cucumber plant and a strawberry that are doing amazing. We are hoping to FINALLY eat something out of our garden soonish.

Dallas/Ft. Worth has had a crazy amount of West Nile deaths and we're pretty nervous being outside. Typical bug spray sucks and I don't like wearing it let alone putting on Jackson. I went out the other day and did a little gardening. When I came back in, I had at least 6 bites. It's scary. We're going to search for a good (hopefully natural) spray. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

We will probably watch Wall-E 4-5 times, UP 2-3, and maybe some Cars or Peppa Pig. Who knows? I just wish The Avengers was out already. You better believe I pre-ordered the 3D Blueray from Amazon already. Sure did. Any good movie recommendations? I'm a huge movie person but I haven't seen anything I'm liking recently. The new Shia movie looks good, though.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend whether or not is a long one. :]

This outfit was part of my "pick-outfits-for-the-week" things this weekend. I have trouble picking cute outfits at 5am. So, I try to plan them the night before. I will probably change the shoes when I wear this to work, though. I love these though.

Currently...

Obsessing over... Jack's 3rd birthday party! We had picked out a cute theme and ran with it for a while, until Jack specifically asked for a Wall-E party. So, I've been on a mission to find Wall-E stuff. I found a couple things on eBay and Etsy, but the majority of things I'll be making. Did you know that EVE stuff on eBay is ridiculously priced? Yah.. like over $100 for a 3inch toy. Seriously?
Anticipating... Jeremy's birthday this week! I planned a museum day along with food trucks for dinner on Saturday. He has been asking for a muesum trip for the longest time, but we usually end up being lazy and not going. We WILL be going on Saturday! His birthday is actually Wednesday.
Working on...  Crafts for Jack's party, keeping my house clean, making sure our little garden grows, and spending as much time with my little guy before school starts. He'll only be going three days a week, but I work an hour away from home/him. I struggle with this daily (spending so much time away from Jack), but I work, I have to, so I'm ok with it.
Watching... GOSSIP GIRL. Non-stop.
Thinking about... our dinners and lunches this week. We went to Trader Joe's this weekend and our fridge and pantry are stocked. I am so excited to make some of this yummy stuff we got!
Reading... I recently read The Fault in our Stars, and I'm trying to get into Looking for Alaska. I'm a little too attached to the characters in The Fault in our Stars, so I can't move on yet. This happens to me a lot. I read a book and become so lost in it and when it ends, I usually have to re-read it. For example, the last Harry Potter book, I read 3-4 times, Twilight series I read 4 times, 50 Shades, twice. I don't want to give anything away in FIOS, but it's been hard for me to move on to my next book. I will eventually...
Listening to... Cults. They have been on replay all weekend... that is when we weren't listening to Bedroom Rock on Songza. It's a good playlist, if you were looking for a new one.
Eating... Angel hair pasta, shrimp, and arrabiata sauce is my absolute favorite right now. I can't get enough.
Wishing... It was fall.
(Thank you to Danielle at Sometimes Sweet for this idea! I love it!)

Almost...

It's almost time for pumpkins, apple cider, changing leaves, sweaters, boots, and tea. Who am I kidding? It's always time for tea.

Fall coming means lots of birthdays in this house. Jeremy's is this week and Jack's is at the end of September. I've already started a lot for Jack's birthday. He picked this own theme which is super fun for me. It's the most "him" party. I've been ordering and searching Etsy and eBay since it's not really something you can get in stores any more. I'm hand making a lot of stuff, which I would have done anyway. It'll be cute, I think. I've planned a museum/food truck day for Jeremy's, which is very adult and something we've been wanting to do for a long time. I got him a couple beer kits and already gave them to him. He's been busy this weekend making beer!

October means a ton of birthdays... my niece, sister, cousin, dad, mom, and me. My mom, niece, and I are trying to plan a little girl's roadtrip. My niece will be 10 and is a big fan of Elsie and Katie (and Hope). She wants us to head to Missouri, and she usually gets her way (ha!). So, I'm trying to plan that, too! It'll be fun and hopefully we'll get to see a couple of them and if not, we'll be just happy walking around Springfield and visiting Red Velvet.

I'm ready for cooler weather and hopefully our annual zoo trip. The summer is way too hot for the zoo, so we usually save it for fall.

All moved in...

We are finally all moved in. It's perfect. Everything is exactly how I pictured it. My mom helped us out so much and I'm so grateful to have her. While I was at work, she unpacked a lot of our boxes and helped put stuff in it's place. She's an amazing organizer, something that I haven't quite picked up yet. I will show a whole home tour as soon as I'm done. I'm getting a rug for our living room and a couple other things. I'm hoping to be completely done by Jack's party (Sept!). I should.
