Good news...

Jeremy finally heard some good news at work today. :] Nothing was wrong or anything like that, but it was just good to hear. It's not a secret that we live with my in-laws and today is a little jump getting us closer to our own place again. (We need help sometimes).
I took some photos of a few cupcakes for work today... I think they are pretty. They are going to be publish in a local magazine. Once they are published, I'll share the photo.

I am excited about my Harper's Happenings Stepping Out post this weekend! I bought a new dress from Old Navy today that isn't anything really special but I think it's cute (woah, run on).

OH! I signed up for the amazing Miss Elsie's new e-course, Blog Love! I'm so excited! I want to be inspired and keep this pretty little blog up and running. I want to share more and have something GOOD for people to read. I know my life isn't always that interesting, but I do think that I have some cool ideas, views, and thoughts. I can't wait to start it!

Also!!!! I will have an ad up at Sometimes Sweet for December. This is my first ever ad... ever. I can't wait to see what happens.

I do want to post a giveaway of some sort soon, too. Maybe to welcome the readers from the  Sometimes Sweet blog. Any ideas or suggestions? I would LOVE if it was sponsered, but that may be asking too much. BUT if by some chance you are interested, please email me!

The weekend...

Whew. This weekend went by so quickly. My parents came in town the day after Thanksgiving and are leaving tomorrow morning. I had to say bye to them today since I work early tomorrow morning. :[ Yup, I cried. Everytime....

SO! Saturday, my mom's aunt and uncle had their 50th wedding anniversary party in Oklahoma at their son's house. He asked me to make their cake since it would be so neat that their great-niece made it. So I did. It wasn't my best work since I had to travel the almost three hours with it, but it was the best I could do. :]
My cousin's house is amazing. It's literally a vintage dream. I'll just share some photos...

What'd I tell ya? Awesome.
Jack loved him some vintage, too.
My parents bought Jack a recordable "Night Before Christmas" book since we won't be there for Christmas (sad face). It was the best thing ever listening to them try to record themselves. It took about and hour and half to record about 10 pages.
We went Christmas shopping for Jack today. He made out like a bandit. I can't wait to see him open all these cars and books.  We also got our new advent calendar! I'm so excited! Jeremy and I put a bunch of little notes in the pockets. I'm ready for the apple cider and Christmas lights note! Oh and the open one gift for Jack :]
And... Because it was suggested a million times over...
I've started it!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I heart MadMen.

I love Madmen. I haven't caught up to the current season, which is, I think, four, but oh my. It's amazing. The fashion alone is enough to watch. I almost just ruined the future seasons for myself by looking at their website!! Eek!

My days off...

I've recently started working full-time as the main baker at the cupcake shop. It's amazingly fun and I get to be creative.

The bad/hard part for me is being away from Jack all day. I usually leave right after he wakes up in the morning and I'm home around 5ish. I get a few hours at night with him and I put him to bed. The first week was brutal. I've never had anxiety before this. It's extremely difficult but I always have to remind myself that it's better for Jack for me to work and be able to provide for him :)

I have Sunday and Mondays off. This weekend consisted of:

- tying to get my aircon fixed in my car

- Jamba Juice

- lots of cuddle time

- my Saturday dress up day

- huge tv buying & watching

- a tiny trip to Target for Red Velvet milk!

I love these boys :) <3

I hope everyone had a great weekend. :)
