Jack's 2nd birthday party is tomorrow. I don't think I've sat down all day.

I didn't realized how much stuff I had to do until my mom got in town and got me to work.

Geez. 

I'm tired.

And I'm no where near done.

But sleep must happen...now.

 Jackson Wade turned two today!!

We blew up about 100 balloons last night and put them in the hallway for when he woke up.

We put together his play kitchen last night, as well.

He loved it all!!

Then we ate pancakes and got ready for school.

We brought yummy cookies for his class that they all loved.

He got to open one gift that he LOVED!

Then we got smoothies and ate pizza with his grandparents! 

He fell asleep at grandma & pawpaw's so he stayed there tonight!

He had a great day!

We had a great weekend together! 

Jeremy is working 70+ hours and has been for a little over 2 months. 

I did a lot of cleaning and a lot of snuggling.

We have a huge week over here.

Jack turns 2 (!!!!) on Thursday, so that day is so jam-packed with stuff to do.

Friday, my parents come to town (YAY!)! So, last minute shopping and wrapping presents.

Saturday is Jack's party. 

Sunday, my parents are off to a Cowboys game (jealous!)! 

Maybe we'll get some shopping in and some good hang out time.

I've been missing my mom A LOT lately, especially since Jeremy is at work most of the time. 

(I always miss him).

Whew. I'm already tired.

We went to Grape-fest in Grapevine. It was so much fun! It was hot and sticky, so this little guy got a good long bath before bed!

My father-in-law bought Jack this little car when he was born or around that time. It is usually at my in-law's. He screamed when we took him off it so we could get home the other day. I hate when he cries. So, it is now at home with us. He goes for rides when we take Sophie out.

I talked to my nieces today...and now I miss them. 

This photo is a little throwback from last year. This is my niece. I took her and her little sister's photos for fun one day at my Aunt's house. They got these adorable angel wings so I had to include them. I didn't even have a DSLR when I took these... I was borrowing my step-dad's. I'm pretty proud of these photos and this one especially. I know there isn't much to them and I didn't edit them much at the time because I didn't have Photoshop, but I love it.

I got my new glasses!

I was a little bummed today when I realized how crazy people were going for the Mizzoni Target collection. I hadn't seen much, but I at least wanted a chance to check it out. When I heard about the lines and crazy people, I just gave up. But Jeremy talked me into going to Target just to check it out. We didn't find one single thing. Everything was gone. Ah well. We did get Jack some birthday presents! We got pizza and Jeremy bought me a Babycakes Donut maker. Jeremy is finishing off some beer he's making at home and we've had a lot of snuggle and train time with Jackson. We've had a good night so far! The little man is super sleepy today so he'll be off to bed soon and we'll, hopefully, finish JFK tonight!

We're feeling the Fall today.

(despite the fact that next week is back to 100+ in DFW)

I made Elsie's leaf garland the other day & we're loving it!

We bought some pumpkin scones, yummy tea, & I've got pot roast cooking. 

Perfect day.

During our Labor Day long weekend, we tried to keep busy. 

We did a lot of coloring and watching movies.

But we got bored.

Three days is long.

So... FINGER PAINTS!

 He kind of got bored....

Vegetables//Recipe-ish

This isn't exactly a recipe. Just a statement and a photo.

Mashed potatoes...

and vegetables.

Best thing ever.

Brussel sprouts, corn, mushrooms, bell peppers, asparagus, 

and broccoli..and parsley on top of mashed potatoes.

Epcot was the last stop on our trip. We had the best time there! 

Jack loved the Nemo ride!

We got to dork it up in each of the countries. 

We ate a lot, too. 

Sauerkraut in Germany.

Crepes in France.

Hummus & tabbouleh in Morocco. 

Turkey leg in America.

 We only met a handful of charactrers.

The lines were crazy long and every time we got in one, we were told that we were too late. 

Really frustrating, but Jack didn't care either way.

Epcot was THE best.

 After Harry, we went to Disney's Boardwalk. It is beautiful, but of course it was raining.

We're getting ready for Fall over this way and that means more outside time!

Texas has been unbearably hot this summer, so Jack hasn't spent a ton of time outdoors. 

When the weather is cooler we'll be having many sidewalk chalk parties on our tiny porch.

(I killed a plant... my last one. So this pretty pink pot has become our chalk stash)

Fall is my absolutely favorite time of the year. 

I can't wait for cardigan weather!
