Adventures in thrifting- ish.

I love spending a morning in a good antique mall. I do. It's fun and I usually find at least one thing that I can't leave without. Jeremy on the other hand....

Well, to be honest, I hadn't ever really asked him to go with me. I just assumed that he wouldn't be into it.

So, last Saturday after our trip to Starbucks, I asked.
Jack was with his mom, so we were free for a little while. He said yes!

We stopped at my favorite spot which is really really close to our apartment.
Jeremy really liked all the history in most of the booths.
I liked these dolls....
There is a really old fixed up car in the middle of the building. We took some time looking at it and all the cool car related stuff.
We just had a good time walking around and enjoying each other's company.

I did find one thing....
And it's hanging on my wall! Jeremy wasn't sold when I picked it up, but after it was up he liked it.
I LOVE it. Ever since I saw Rachel's on Smile and Wave, I was on the look out! For $9 it's a steal!
LOVE!

We picked up Jack and spent the rest of Saturday just hanging out at home.
It was a great weekend!

Currently.

Linking up with The Paper Mama for her Self Photo Challenge!

Obsessing over.

Jack feeling better, blogging, finding more time for my family, missing my mom, Mutemath, and the fact that I almost met the Eisley ladies but was too chicken. yah.

Working on.

Cleaning my apartment, scheduling blog posts, recipes, laundry, (planning) a weekend to visit my family and take lots of portraits for them and friends.

Thinking about.

How I wish I could stay home with Jack and just do photography. Going to Alt Summit next year. Taking this blog to the next level. How fast my little guy is growing. Maybe Disney trip this summer.

Anticipating.

Said Disney trip. Family reunion in May. This coming weekend to spend time with my family. The day my mom comes to visit. Hopefully a roadtrip.

Listening to.

Mutemath. Of Monsters and Men. Real Estate. Blue's Clues.

Eating.

Pound cake with different toppings and craving some scrambled eggs.

Wishing.

I lived closer to my family. This blog and photography was my job.

Love Day // Lust List

Valentine's Day is coming up. We don't have much planned yet, but I might make a reservation at an amazing restaurant in Ft. Worth. We went there for our anniversary, so it's a little special for us.

Here are a couple Love/heart related things that I've been lusting over:

I saw this cute tote on Katie's blog today and fell in LOVE!

I love Toms, but I've only ever worn the classics. These are super cute!

A custom key necklace.... enough said.
My name would be cool... or Jack's.

I like to layer necklaces, and this one from Stella & Dot with the key necklace would be great!

I need a new iPhone case so bad and this one is perfect!!!!

Stripes AND dots? Yes, please!

Love this bow and this pretty lady!

Purple // Outfit

I love purple. Oh and yellow. And flowers.
 Dress/Tights/Cardigan/Boots: Target
(Oh look ma, I'm a Target ad!)

Jeremy and I looked for places to live this weekend. I hate house hunting. We were looking to rent a house, but it's not happening. We're going to just try to stay where we are for the moment. We already gave our notice to move, so I hope they work with us. If we do stay, I'm definitely giving this place a makeover. And by us not moving, that means my mom and I can go on our roadtrip sooner!!!! Yeah!

Oh! Good news too! Jeremy's work schedule changed so I'm actually going to see him during the week! I am so excited!

Flowers // Outfit

I'm trying really hard to plan a trip to Springfield with my mom. Like... really REALLY hard. It's going to happen... not sure when, but it is! I can't wait!! We're starting to plan it!
This dress is from Red Velvet's Fall line. It's definitely one of my favorites! The dress has bell sleeves and I wasn't feeling it the day I wore it, so I threw on this cute chevron top. It's see-through, so you can see the beautiful floral print!
 Dress : Red Velvet
Tights: Target
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Ring: Handmade

New Adventure.

I've mentioned this a little before, but my big goal for 2012 is/was to start a small photography business. I did! Sorta. I started a Facebook page for Hello, Pretty Eyes [Photography]. I have done a few shoots, but hope to do a TON more this year. I'm not quite ready for weddings, but babies, families, and portraits are definitely up my alley.

Here are a few examples:

If you are interested, please email me! helloprettyeyesphotography@yahoo.com and please "Like" the Facebook page! As soon as I have enough followers, I can do a little session giveaway!!

Chevron // Outfit

I've had this dress for a little while.
The sleeves are a little big on me, so I haven't worn it.
I found this sweater buried deep in my closet. I think it works perfectly!

Spring Time // Wish List

Spring is upon us...

But I miss wearing cute shoes that aren't boots and I'm not the biggest fan of tights.
So here is a swoon-worthy list of some pretty things for Spring...
I want some new glasses and these are perfect and for a perfect price.
I love this shirt.
PRETTY!
Pretty little flats.
I love love this shirt.
this one too.

Our weekend was spent together.
If you know me, you know that is hasn't always been the case.
Jeremy's old job had him working every weekend and Jack and I alone.
He would have a day off or two during the week when I worked.
His job now allows us to spend time together on the weekends, but hardly see each other during the week. It's a little rough sometimes, and I get pretty lonely at night. But the job is amazing.

Jack and I have our weekly evenings together and full on family time every weekend!
This weekend we had a trip to Whole Foods, watched some Pawn Stars and Curious George, lots of cooking and baking, and some photo taking.
Now we're getting dinner together and getting ready for our work week.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and are going to have a good week.
I have a few posts that I can't wait to do, but I'm pacing them out.
I haven't been such a good blogger lately, but that is changing.
I wrote out a goals list, and the blog is numbero uno right under my photography.

The Beatles // Outfit

This is my favorite shirt, EVER. I got it in a warehouse. Literally. A warehouse with piles...no mountains of clothes. You dig for good stuff. It's amazing. I haven't been there in years, but I will be going the next time I head to my hometown!

Shirt: vintage
Cardigan: Target
Jacket & skinnies: UO
Boots: Sketchers

Also,  a little announcement. One of my goals of 2012 is to start a little side photography business. So.... I did! I started a facebook page for Hello, Pretty Eyes [Photography].
