Today...

...hasn't been great. Actually, the past few days haven't been great.

I wore my pretty starlette headband again.. it makes me happy.

My little guy isn't feeling too hot.

 I am going to look at an apartment later today (Jack's napping now).

Yup, the apartment we found was rented out right after we told them we wanted it. Totally sucks. 

Jeremy's job is not the greatest at the moment.

BUT on a lighter note and because it makes me happy...

I feel pretty, oh so pretty... and i need to taaaaaan.

Home... (Jack's Room Wants/Needs)

I can't wait to get Jack's room together. It's going to be very cute and very boy. 

We don't have specific colors or theme in mind. Jack loves cars and wheels so we'll probably include lots of them. Jack has very pretty black furniture. He has a dresser that we're keeping.

The next few items are from IKEA.

We aren't going to use the changing table that we have and... the crib that goes with his furniture... is broken.... in pieces. It's a drop down side, so we weren't going to use it anyway, but it still sucks. We are borrowing one from Jeremy's mom for the time being. We love this one... especially the price. $99. And Jeremy's favorite color is green. Yay!

We have the larger version of this in Jack's room now, but it's bolted to the wall and we REALLY hate moving it. SO, we're getting this one and laying it on it's side for more storage and it's easier for Jack to get into it.

This lamp is just cute.

Jack likes to push his cars on tables. We want something he can grow into for the next couple of years and this one is cheap and cute and little.

Now... if I had my way, we'd be getting this...

along with a bunch of felt food. BUT everyone thinks he's too small for it. I might just get it anyway.

Home... (Living Room Wants)

We found an apartment!!!!

We aren't sure when we are moving in, but SOON!

I've been collecting some furniture must-haves for a little while. Most of the furniture we have are hand-me-downs from very generous family members. We want to finally get some that we get to chose and buy.

We really wanted a fun couch. We've had a black leather couch and chair since before we got married and since they aren't ours, we are freely giving them back. We wanted something with color and FUN. This one is from Rooms-to-go and on sale. 

This big ol' guy is from Ikea (heaven). We have a big TV that we want to mount on the wall and we have ZERO storage for DVDs and our PS3. So, this guy would be perfect. It has a ton of storage and it's just so pretty...maybe a little retro looking? 

In addition to the lovely blue couch, we want a pretty chair. These are both from Ikea. Ideally, I want to find one at a vintage/thrift shop around here and clean it up. If that doesn't happen these are my fall backs...but which one? I love the print and and shape of the chair, but the other chair is so damn comfortable. Which would you choose?  I have a feeling comfort will win over beauty here.

Other stuff I need:

- curtains

- toy storage
(Jack's toys are bound to make it to the living room)

I absolutely LOVE this dress and outfit. I keep saying that these outfits are my favorite, but they totally are! Each and every one of them. 

After my sister's wedding in WI, we headed to Chicago for the day. We went to Anthropologie and I got to spend my gift card from my sister :]

It was very gloomy outside today... So I took these in our dark and gloomy room. The painting in the background was painted by my mother-in-law. It's so good. She has a ton of paintings all through the house.
