What I wore...(Vacation time)

 I wore my hair in a messy bun for the first time today too! I'm so excited. It's the simple things....

SO. I'm in Wisconsin for my sister's wedding. I saw her today for the first time in a year and I missed her. I didn't really realize how much until I saw her.

We went to eat at a French restaurant and OMG... being a french culinary school grad, it was SO SO good. I got a box of macaroons. All for myself. Yum.


Tomorrow is...
- Brunch with the sister and niece
- Shopping (again) with my mom, step-dad, & niece
- Rehearsal
-Rehearsal dinner
- Celebrate New Year's Eve


I already have a cute outfit for tomorrow (includes FOX tights!!!!).
I'll be posting a few outfit posts and some snow play photos too!

MIA...

I've been missing in action this past week or so for a few reasons :


- CHRISTMAS!!!!

- Getting ready for my trip to Wisconsin for my sister's lovely wedding

- Writing a speech for my sister's lovely wedding

- Spending as much time as I can with my little man and my husband

I leave tomorrow night, but I will be posting a few peeks of my trip while I'm gone!

My pretty new bag...

 I ordered this pretty little thing from Sublime Stitching. It was designed by the ever lovely Elsie Cake from A Beautiful Mess. I can't embroider at all... So I painted it. I LOVE it. I can't wait to use it! 

Oh. And I have a cute pup. Her name is Sophie. She lets me put things in her hair.

Christmas-y feeling...

This morning I woke up feeling all Christmas-y. Jack wore a Christmas shirt and we baked! 

I don't really have time to use cookie cutters and pipe all the pretty cookies and cupcakes so I cheated. I used store-bought cookie dough and store-bought icing. 

Then I just decorated the pretty little circle cookies.

 

I also made cupcakes. 

 Jeremy has been at work since 4am (being a manager he has to be there when something goes wrong... at any time of day...). So I'm taking these cupcakes up there after Jack wakes up from his nap. 

Steppin' Out...

I asked my sweet husband to take photos of my outfit this morning... He didn't. We lost track of time and tonight we HAD to go to the grocery store. So... I made him snap this ONE photo in one of the aisle. 

Next week will be better... promise!

Work in progress....

So, I'm still sick. (Cough..Cough..) I've been getting off of work early the last couple of days and my mother-in-law (God bless her) has been watching Jack so I can get some rest. 

I have a really hard time sleeping during the day. My rest has included eating chili, drinking hot hot tea, drinking theraflu, watching movies (Going the Distance is SO GOOD & I just watched Love Actually for the first time and OMG love it), and crocheting.

I have been working on this blanket for a LONG time and it's getting pretty big. I am so not good at crocheting but I can crochet a line.... so this blanket is LOTS and LOTS of lines. Ha.

 I hope to have it done in my lifetime... When it is done, it's going to be warm and so pretty on my bed. :]

The yarn I'm using is just whatever colors and softness I like. I'm not counting anything or making/using a pattern. It's just fun and it's becoming quite pretty!
